Is this load bearing wall?

I am renovating a kitchen and need to remove a wall to create open concept. There is about 2.5ft wide wall that goes to the top of the vaulted ceiling. It touches the ceiling about 6'' off from the center of the ridge. I opened the wall and there is a single stud on the edge of the wall. The bottom of the stud appears to be resting on the slab with no anchor. I assume the wall was put to carry electrical lines that come from top and feed to the kitchen. Any idea? Thank you in advance.

Odds are that short wall is not load bearing. To know for sure I would want to look at the truss drawings/documentation for your home.

Thank you. We removed the drywall completely and found utility lines running down that column wall. This must be the reason they had that wall. There was no beam on top and the studs weren’t designed for load bearing.
