Office chair recliner/tilt tension: loosen tension further than tilt knob?
Hey, I just bought a Staples Sonada chair (https://www.staples.com/Staples-Sona...roduct_1678440) on sale for $100+ off the MSRP. Unfortunately, they did not have one on display so I wasn't able to try it in the store. I like it and it's comfortable, but it doesn't recline back as easily as I would like (to lounge...). The tilt tension knob is loosened all the way but I still have to use my legs to press against the floor to lean back even a little bit.
Anyone know how the tensioner works? Can I take off the plastic knob safely and modify some screw length or something so the chair tilts back more freely?
The chair is comfortable enough and I'm not going to go through the hassle of trying to return it, but it'd be nice if I could tweak this one thing.
Thanks!
