Swing set stain/protection

Hello All,

Please see attached photo. I am in need of suggestions on what I should use to stain and protect this. I have no experience with purchasing such products. Can you please send recommendations?

Darker color is preferred.

Deck stain would be my choice. Depends on how much of the grain you want to show but I would use a semi-transparent stain, you could go semi-solid or even solid body stain if you desire.

.... and prior to applying the stain you'll want to wash it first. I'd do like I do for decks; mix up a bleach/water solution [never stronger than 50%!] wet the wood, spray on the bleach solution with a pump up garden sprayer, let it set but not dry and then rinse with a pressure washer [garden hose will also work]
