Reclaimed Wood

I'm in the process taking down some old partition walls in an old house with 2x4 and 4x6 dimensional rough-sawn lumber (was plaster and lathe walls). I'll have about 15 to 20 9-10' sticks when it's all done.

Are there generally places that buy or will take old wood for reclaimed furniture and such? Is there any sale value? Or at least someone who will come out and take it? Of course, I'd rather it not end up in a landfill if at all possible.

Any thoughts who to call?

Thanks,
Mike

As always, my suggestion in Craigslist. You can try to sell them, but if you want the gone, put them in the free section.

I gave away some new toilet seats that came with the toilet kit. Within 1 hour I had about 6 people that wanted them.

If you are willing to give them away, another option is freecycle, if you have a group nearby.

Some Habitat for Humanity Restore locations take used building materials in good condition, so that's a possibility too.
