I bought a table from Wayfair for 75% off, and it is perfect in every respect except the color: it is a banana yellow, whereas my walls are more of a lemon.
I'd like to paint over it, and have decided to go with a crackle and then use a blue over it.
Wondering if I can just apply the crackle medium directly to it, or if I should first paint it in a different shade of yellow... I'm unsure what kind of paint is on it. I did the "alcohol swab" test and am pretty sure it isn't latex. Other than that, all I can say is that it is pretty flat.
Thank you!

Welcome to the forums Jessica!
Did you use rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol? http://www.doityourself.com/forum/pa...latex-oil.html
Are you sure the table is painted wood? it could be a colored laminate. Most laminates aren't a good candidate for paint. Pics could be helpful - http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html
