Kitchen chair repair

Any thoughts on how to repair this chair that’s lost one of the back supports.
Is a nail/staple gun and glue the only option?

If you have a pneumatic brad nailer and good carpenters glue, it should be fine.

Don't skimp on the glue. It will ease out around the edges so keep a wet/damp rag handy to clean up that glue before it dries.
