Door and drawer rubber stoppers

Where can I find these rubber door thingies? I keep getting ones that are not thick enough but these seem to be a standard size I have seen across several of our homes.

They measure 13/64 with calipers.

Is there a standard height that you know of. I have purchased from HomeDepot and Amazon and both times they were too thin. I'm gonna call the cabinet manufacturer and find out more. thx

Hard time sanding maple wood

I'm making a table top out of ... hardwood flooring (maple). Anyway, I cut some boards with table saw and it left burn marks on the edge so I'm trying to sand them out with hand held orbital sander. I've been at it for a while and it's hardly taking any of the marks off. Using 5" disk 80 grit sandpaper (Gator). Should go with even lower grit or try different sander? I'm not used to sanding hardwoods, only pine so far..Read More

I am new to woodworking/furniture building and would like to start with a simple work bench for my garage (start with something that doesn't matter as much if it looks bad). I have found a plan for building it, but I'm fairly intimidated with purchasing lumber due to the numerous types of wood, sizes, treating options, etc. What would your recommendations be for a fairly inexpensive type of wood for a beginner's work bench? Would you buy it from Lowe's/Home Depot/Menards or do you have a better option for purchasing the wood? Thanks for your help!Read More
