Is there a way to identify grit of sanding sponges?

I have a lot of used sanding sponges, but have unfortunately lost the original cardboard that they came wrapped in when I purchased them. Is there a way to figure out what the grit is of them?

Some of course (no pun intended!) I can tell are rougher and some feel finer.

IF I remember correctly there are only 3 grits of sanding sponges; fine, medium and coarse. Some sanding sponges will have 2 different grits on opposing sides. Sanding sponges generally don't sand as aggressively as the same grit of sandpaper.
