yellow cupboard handles look good but lose some paint-like thing
I've bought some cupboard handles that claim to be made up of copper, it looks good and smooth,
and no sign of any falling paint. I tried to clean it a little bit further by putting plastic tape onto it,
it turns out something dusty, but certainly not dust, sticking to the tape, but when I try to touch with bear hand or clean with towel, I can't see anything like this. What is that? Is it still safe to use these handles? Will it get worse?

It's possibly a clear coat or patina finish that has started flaking off. Or, the flakes could be dust or dirt.
"Is it still safe to use these handles?" I would say yes it is safe to use them as handles but I wouldn't try swallowing one, you might choke.

Welcome to the forums!
Maybe there is a clear coat over the copper that is failing ??
How old are the handles? [new or used] pics could be helpful

Hi all, it's quite difficult to take a very clear picture with a mobile phone, if you look closely, there are quite some yellow / gold particles on the plastic tape.
The handle is undoubtedly newly bought.
I am thinking if the particle will easily fall again.

Hello
It's the picture of my handle. It's new. It's smooth, but when I put plastic tape on it, quite some tiny particles got trapped on the tape. I am not sure if it's still safe to use it. If the materials on the surface will peel off slowly in the air
