This is a old cabinet I've had for years. I was going to get rid of it but friends suggested I restore it. I haven't done any furniture restore and would like to know my best options. It looks like it isn't solid, it has a veneer covering.
Are you wanting to restore it or just make it look nicer?
There isn't a lot you can do with the veneer portions other than scuff sand, touch up the scratches with stain and apply a fresh coat of poly.
I think most of our furniture is 2nd hand, some amazing buys out there.
Anyway every piece we get I use this to clean and touch up any existing scratches and it really works. But your piece is showing a lot of age so it's probably not going to come back to like new condition.
Apologies if this is not the correct forum for this question. Any suggestions on how I can repair this floor lamp?
A threaded wooden piece sticks up through the middle of the base, and screws into the pole. The wooden threading inside the pole is fine, but the wooden threading on the piece that sticks up through the base is stripped.

I purchased an outdoor patio table several years ago. Whatever product was used to hold the stone pieces in place, and fill large gaps, is breaking down in several places; mainly around the edges.
I used non-sanded grout in small areas several years ago, but it's not ideal, and was used to only to fill a few small gaps. I'm guessing the binding/shaping material is some kind of very thick epoxy, or resin, and whatever is used to repair it needs to be shapeable, as a few small stone pieces are missing.
Any recommendations are appreciated!
