Nails Or Screws For This Syrup Bottle Rack?

Using the above as design inspiration, I'm going to build a rack to hold five 750ml Torani syrup bottles, mounted on a bar countertop. The added wrinkle is that it's on a boat, so it needs to withstand swaying back and forth for hours at a time.
Looking to use 1/2" poplar for most of it, with 1/4" poplar for the back piece. Each compartment will be 3" by 3", with overall length about 18".
Seems like nails would be best for the front piece, for asthetics. What about the bottom and back? The overall unit will be screwed into the counter, and maybe screwed/glued to the wall.
This would be the most ambitious wood project I've ever done.

To build it, glue and brad nails (essentially to hold it together till the glue sets up. To attach it to the boat, screws.

I agree with Marq1 for a simple solution.
But if you want to stretch your woodworking skills a little use some dados (grooves) in the front and back pieces for the separators to fit into. (Maybe not the back if it is only 1/4".) Might make assembly easier and will provide more surface for gluing. You can make dados with a router, a table saw, or even a dovetail saw and a wood chisel.

The dados would be neat, but I don't have the tools or the skill to do that lol. Thanks guys.
