Garage Door Hinge Broke Off Aluminum Panel
How can I repair this without replacing the whole 4 foot panel?
Thanks.

Thanks.

Drill new holes through the hinge bracket and install screws in a different location. You could also use the existing holes with nuts & bolts in place of the self tapping screws.

Any of ideas would work. I think I would go with bolt and nut with fender washers on door side. May have to enlarge holes a bit.

You can get an entirely new set of hinges... the lag screws will probably wind up in a totally different spot. Yours look strange in that the plate is small putting all the stress in a weak spot on the frame. Most hinges are like these... notice the difference?

XSleeper, just ordered one. I think that with a block of wood and fender washers will make it stronger than the original.
Thanks!

Ordered one of these....https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Installed it. Had to make some new holes for extra strength.

Put a bit of wood in the back to help secure it.

Much larger and beefier than the original bracket.
