Bathroom door hinge

My bathroom door hinge has broken the side of the door. I tried using wood glue to make a seal between the gap, but It hasn't worked,

I have attached the picture, please have a look and advise me on how I can fix this problem.

Hard to tell with all the patching material gobbed over it but I assume you have a hinge located door bumper. They are prone to poke thru hollow core doors. I'd remove the door bumper from the hinge and install one at the baseboard where it can hit the wood frame behind the door skin.

You'll need to sand the patching material down flat [scraping might help] and go from there. The smoother you apply any patching material the easier it is to make it look decent.

almost forgot welcome to the forums!
