Building a new shed

Hello everyone,i am building a 16x16 foot frame shed.one wall will be the exterior wall of my garage.i installed a 2x8 ledger board on the garage wall.question is,how far apart should i place my concrete forms to support the floor joists,also using 2x8's?thanks

What you going to put in it (weight) & what are you using for flooring (thickness, material etc)

How did you attach the ledger board? How high off the ground is the floor framing? I can't say for sure but I think 16' is too far for a 2x8 to span so you'd need a beam at halfway for extra support. The carpenters should be along later with more/better advice for you.

Mark,i used 1/2 inch concrete anchors into the slab of the garage and 10 5/16 lag bolts into the sill plate of the garage

Btw,ill be doubling up the 3 outer boards effectively making the 3x11

How to wire the Chamberlain WD1000WF garage opener?

I just purchased the [URL="http://www.chamberlain.com/garage-door-openers/belt-drives/model-wd1000wf"]Chamberlain WD1000WF[/URL] garage opener. How do I wire it to my existing wiring? On my existing garage wiring, the right side sensor has two cables (both white) when I strip the outer plastic, it has one red and one black wires. So, a total of four smaller wires. On the left sensor, it has only one cable that when I strip out, it has one red and one black. On the ceiling of the garage where it connects to the opener, there are three cables. First cable when stripped out the plastic shows red and black wires. The second cable also has red and black. And the third cable has red and green, I think. On the wall mount remote, it has red and black wires. The garage opener I purchased has only white and black wires only, I think. I got everything setup but I think the wiring is wrong because nothing works. The wall mount remote supposed to show a clock but nothing is showing. Garage door remotes now opening both garage doors at the same time

I hope someone can help me. I'm about to go crazy. We just bought a new vehicle and I was ready to program the HomeLink buttons for my garage doors. Both of my other vehicles have HomeLinke buttons and we've lost the original remotes. Since I need (according to the directions) to have a remote handy to program the HomeLinke buttons, I purchased a Clicker KLIK1U Universal remote. My plan was to program it, use it to program the HomeLink buttons and then stash it away until I buy another car. My garage door openers are old 1991-era LiftMasters. They are either model #41a3627 or #1155lm (the first number is found on the back of the unit near the gray "learn" button and the second number is found on the front of the unit under the light-cover.). I followed the directions on the Clicker to program the Universal remote and sure enough, it works. However, the button now controls both garage doors simultaneously This is not cool. I push the button once, and both garage doors go up. I push the button again, and they both go down. Also, this process effectively erased the programming of the HomeLink buttons for both of my other vehicles and also my outside wireless keypad. I've tried re-programming both, but no matter what I do, the universal remote opens both doors. In the meantime, I finally found one of the old remotes, and sure enough it is now opening both garage doors. Does anyone have any ideas?Read More
