Garage floor epoxy

Hi, looking into redoing my garage- new cabinets, more upper storage etc. Before I do any of that though I wanted to get the floors nice, and I hear epoxy is the way to go.

What is confusing is all the DIY kits out there (Home Depot, ACE, ArmorGarage, etc.) vs. professional installation.

Anyone have a great experience with a DIY kit they can recommend? Or is this a case of you get what you pay for and my best chance of success is through pro install?

I have used the Rustoleum epoxy kits, they work fine. But the floor must be clean and dry... you have to follow the instructions for best results. If you have any oily spots on the floor, those can be a problem. Areas where you drive in with snow, salt, rocks and sand will eventually wear on the finish, but that is normal wear and tear.

Prep is as important, possibly more so than the coating used! As stated above the concrete needs to be clean and dry. If the concrete finish is extra slick it will need to be acid etched.
