Question Sealing ends of garage door seal

I am replacing the bottom garage door seals as mice have been nibbling at the ends. This time I will put a rubber threshold down to provide a better seal but wondered is there any way to seal the ends? Thanks.

Shove a copper Brillo pad in the ends.

New rubber weather seal usually comes a bit longer than the actual door width, take the excess and tuck it in the end. 1. It bulks it up on the end for a better seal. 2. it prevents the seal from sliding back and forth in the retainer
