Canadian Building Code

I am building a 26x30 garage with 12' walls and a 4/12 roof. Construction will be 2x6 studs 16"OC and factory trusses 24"OC. i will have 2x4 purlins on the trusses and 1x4 purlins on the sides and everything will be clad with steel panels.

While I have a copy of the Canadian Building Code it has been several years since i looked at it. To save me some time can someone point me to the appropriate sections regarding framing with purlins and using steel roofing and siding? Thanks.

Building Code Requirements

A few weeks back I started a thread regarding the Canadian Building Code. Unfortunately, although there where about 83 reads I received no replies. I am in an area that is unregulated, that is we have no local building restrictions or code and no building inspectors. In the absence of any other regulations the only thing we have is the National Building Code of Canada to guide us. Unfortunately I am not as familiar with the code as I would like to be and was hoping there was someone out there familiar with the NBCC who could point me to the appropriate sections. I look forward to any responses. Thanks

Threads combined and bumped.

Most of the pros here are from the States. We aren't familiar with the Canadian building codes.

I do appreciate the many reads this thread has received and understand that the majority of you Pro subscribers would be US based. I was hoping that there was one or two Canadians out there but it doesn't appear so. Thanks to everyone for looking at this.
