Lean-to carport rafter length and size?

I am re-building the roof on my existing carport. The old 2x6 rafters need to be replaced. It looks like under my county building code the max rafter length of 2x6, with 24" of spacing, using DF#2, is about 10' 2". I'm about 11' resting on the top plate. The existing wall framing is 2x6 24" oc. I would prefer to use 2x6 rafters than 2x8.

Questions: Anyway to use 2x6 rafters? If not can I use 2x6 16" oc rafter spacing on the existing 24" oc wall framing? Or am I just going to have to go to 2x8 rafters? Thanks in advance!

Probably best to ask your county building inspector. Some are known to fudge a little but others are strictly by the book.

If you have a double top plate in the wall framing, then space the rafters as needed.
