Removing rust from garage door track
Hello, the base or bottom (where it means concrete floor) of one end of my garage door track is starting to rust. How can I safely remove this rust before it spreads further. Thanks

Welcome to the forums.
A wire brush or emery cloth sandpaper would work.
One of those wire brushes that you put in a drill would make the job easy.
After the rust is removed you'll need to paint the track to keep it from rusting further.

A spray..... like a rust remover spray ? Not something I'd use. You could try it.
I like the wire brush in the drill method. Makes the job quick and easy.

After the rust is removed you'll need to paint the track to keep it from rusting further.
While there are some spray on rust convertors, nothing is better than mechanically/physically removing the rust.

Just a note...the track shouldn't be touching the ground. When I installed a few for myself and neighbors, I used a piece of 3/8 plywood during assy, then removed it after and slathered a little Rustoleum type paint on the bottom 4 inches or so. That little air space prevented rust or corrosion from contact with the floor or concrete.
Little late for that unless you want to get busy with a grinder or sawsall.
