Summary: The door was unlocked in "manual mode" but got slammed open. The carriage that the door actually slides with in the rail slammed over the "pin" that it normally locks into and jammed. I tried tapping on the two pieces with a hammer and got no movement. How do I get these apart without breaking them or dissassembling them?
Longer detail: I screwed around with door insulation and adjusted the spring tension. Took some insulation off but now the springs were too strong for the door. It slipped out of my hands and slammed up. Normally the carriage and pin slide over each other to lock and unlock manual mode. But they must have hit an angle and they wedged. Any ideas? Light hammer tapping showed no budge. Activating the opener makes it attempt to move but it can't.
The belt splice (6) went to far thru the trolley (8).
You may need to drop the operator down and sit on a ladder.
Try and remove the belt from the motor pulley.
It's not going to be an easy release.

I adjusted my torsion springs and now the garage door opens, closes and balances itself easily and correctly when manually opening and closing it. However, there is a sort of gurgling noise when it opens, see the video:

I also tried tapping the metal adjustment rods outwards when they were in the torsion sping adjustment holes but not sure if this made any difference. Could it be that?
