Boxwood slow to grow?

Boxwood slow to grow?

Planted these a few years ago. The nursery said once they grab hold they grow quick. They have been so slow to grow im wondering if diseased?

Have you pruned them to that shape? That's a rather unusual shape for a boxwood.

How tall/large were the boxwoods when you planted them and how tall are they now?

No i didnt prune them that shape. Maybe grew a foot? They are supposed to grow tall and fill out

Soil type can affect how most anything grows. I have poor soil [mostly slate rock] and had a 20 yr old bradford pear [snow storm knocked it down] that was only about half the size of some bradford pears that were planted down in the valley [mostly clay] Might be wise to have your soil tested and amend accordingly.
