English Ivy
Is it possible to selectively kill English Ivy? I have a bank where the ivy is taking over and beginning to grow into the yard and kill the grass. However, the bank is also home to Crown Vetch, which I would like to see take over the bank again. Is there any way to kill the ivy without wiping out all plant life in the area?
Thanks!

I do not know of any herbicide that will only kill the ivy and not other broad leafed plants. About the best I can recommend is to use a product containing only 2,4-D which will kill the Crown Vetch and not harm the grass. 2,4-D may need several applications to kill the ivy though. Adding a surfactant (soap) will help on the waxy ivy leaves. More reliable for the kill would be Crossbow which contains 2,4-D and Triclopyr.
