Can I plant garlic now?

I usually plant my garlic in the late fall but I understand you can plant them early in the spring . Any other tips or suggestions?

We have some "new" Garlic varieties which are said to be perennial and can weather Vermont's harsh winters, so some may be harvested as soon as the ground thaws . . . . or they can be divided and re-sown for growth through the warmer season.

Deer Repellent

Hi All, We are probably gonna be putting in 8 - 10 Thuja Green Giant shrubs/trees for some privacy. We on occasion are visited by a few deer from time to time so we don't want to sit and watch them devour $500 worth of plants. What are the best sprays that can be put directly on the trees that will work best for deer repelling ? I know when they get hungry enough they can/will eat darn near anything, but we at least want to try and we want to try the stuff that works best......ThanksRead More

Tie split branch back to the main tree

Hi, One of my pinetree's branch is splicted by snow. I want to put it back and tie it to the main part. Anybody have some ideas? I do not want to cut it since this could happen in other trees.Read More
