fruit trees lost leaves
Just wondering if anyone else's trees lost their leaves early, my cherry and apple trees lost their leaves about a month ago , we did have a very wet summer with not a lot of sun, would this cause it, I did spray with a fungacide, wondering if these trees will survive the winter, I live in Northeast pa.

I'm in north central North Carolina. I don't have any apple trees but I do have several cherries. My sour cherry trees always lose most/all of their leaves in late July but some hang on until fall. I blame it on the heat. Production is great every year but when we get to the awful hot days all the leaves go. My sweet cherries keep their leaves better but also start losing them when it gets hot.
Down here we've had unusually cold snaps during winter the past four years. We've had week long periods that did not get above freezing and several nights in solid negative digits (unusual for here) and all my cherries survived just fine. I wouldn't worry about a fungal problem unless you see evidence of it. Even then every plant in nature gets some amount of fungus without harm.
