which mulch for red raspberries?
I have a red raspberry patch and was wondering what is the most inexpensive and effective way to put mulch on them. some choices are oak leaves, pine needles, sawdust, lawn clippings, chips are also an option but they are fairly expensive around here. If one of these is accepatable do I need to add extra nutrients to the ground? thanks

I cant speak for the specific need of the Raspberry plants, but my experience with gardens and compost additives are that grass clippings and mulched leaves are good.
Pine needles are acidic so I'd investigate that before installing!

just regular clippings from your lawn ? do they need to be dried or composted or just use them right out of the bagger?

Why are you mulching? Are you trying to improve or change the soil, prevent weeds or protect the plants from cold winter temperatures?

trying to keep the ground soft and keep the weeds down. I had a new kind of week this year called a velcro weed and its the only way I can think of to get rid of them.
