Still some healthy roots?

http://imgur.com/gallery/4rGeauNHey everyone! So my wife at the beginning of the month picked up some mums on a super discount. So I had put them in the living room to add some fall colors to the dining room. The flowers died off and I dead-headed it. I noticed that all the limbs were brittle so I thought maybe it was dead. So I pulled it out of it's pot and am I crazy or are there still some healthy roots here??

Very often they will comeback in spring. Especially if kept indoors. If kept outdoors and protected from extreme freezing they may survive another season.

My wife also bought several pots at discount of mums and we just let them stay outside in the pots hoping they may comeback after winter.

Brittle stems doesn't sound good. I'm guessing they might not have been watered for a while. But, you've got nothing to loose. Plant it in the ground or start taking care of it. I keep mine inside the first season and then plant them outside and they're on their own. They are pretty tough plants and can withstand a lot of abuse and come back.
