Question outside gas lamp on post

I have an outside gas lamp on a post. Double mantles. I have changed the mantels several times in the last 10 years or so. The on/off valve for the gas has a flat head screw inside a hole in the post. The screw head is stripped. Been thinking outside of the box...but I have no solution as to how to turn that screw. (I changed mantels and cleaned the glass....now need to turn it back on~~ homeowners association is getting mad my lamp is out)
any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

You could shut off the gas to the whole home and re-light any pilot lights you may have.
