williams direct vent wall furnace not lighting

the pilot lights, thermocouple gets orange hot glow from top & 1/2 way down. blue flame incases "new thermocouple", but will not light after pilot button is released. tried many times, can not get a flame to stay. Any ideas as to what I can do. tried to contact williams, located in CA. no help from them, saying "letter model numbers have been discontinued" first winter w/o heat in the garage since 1995.
Thanks

Welcome to the forums.

Is that a thermocouple that connects to the gas valve with a nut or does it have two wires on it ?

Pictures of the gas valve and burner are are very helpful. How-to-insert-pictures

As @PJMax wrote, we need pictures of or model numbers of the new thermocouple, and the old gas valve and controls. Without knowing what devices you have no one can suggest ways to troubleshoot your problem.

Thanks to all for replying. Have not had a chance yet to take some pictures. Hopefully it will be soon.
