6 burner cooktop clicking

9 year old monogram natural gas 6 burner cooktop..Model zgu36n6....the red light on the knob for the right front burner( second knob from right) will randomly come on and a faint ticking sound can be heard...if any other burner is being used the ticking will become much louder even if the red light for that second burner is off...when no burners are being used the red light can be reset by turning it hard past the off position but at some point the faint ticking will start again..im assuming the problem is with that specific knob and some kind of shut off switch.. i havent taken the face plate off yet to dig further until i get some better advice..it should be noted that the right front burner is used more than any other burner.....thanks in advance

ZGU36N6 is the group number.... not a specific model number.

Each burner has it's own control switch. There are two listed.... regular and simmer.
It could be a bad switch.

You also have a re-ignition spark module which can act the same way.
You'd need to remove the wires from the suspected problem switch first.
