Venting a Dryer

My dryer is already vented through the foundation wall with the old "v" hose. The dryer is in the middle of the house and I would like to use an up to date venting system, since the old way is dangerous. The problem is there is duct work in the way of venting using the old vent through the foundation. How can I do this?

What makes your current system dangerous? Can you post some pics?

Not sure what the old "v" hose is.
Is that the white flexible ducting with the spiral metal in it ?

That definitely needs to go.

As far as help with your ducting job.... it's almost impossible for us to comment as we cannot see what you have there.

A few pictures of the situation posted here would be of great help.
