testing washer dryer line

I am making a purchase on real estate property. This is a resale but It does not have an existing washer/dryer. My question is how to test to see if everything would run the way is suppose to; ie water supply to the washer, electrical supply and ventilation for the dryer.

No tests I know you would have to get somebody who knows how to do these things to see what needs to be done.

For any pre-purchase inspection you need the power and water turned on. The electric can be tested with a multi-meter or electrical tester. You can take a bucket and open the hot and cold washer spigots and make sure water comes out. As for the vent you can do a visual inspection to make sure the duct isn't separated or other how physically damaged. If you have a dryer duct cleaning brush you can run that down the vent to make sure it's not blocked by a bird's nest.
