kenmore stove not heating properly
I have an electric Kenmore electric stove. When setting the temperature at 350 it keeps clicking and the red light toggles indicating the bottom element or the top element. the temperature doesn't reach the desire temp. when just trying broil. That isn't working. I tested the 2 elements and changed the temp. probe.
what should I do next?
could it be the thermostat or the board that needs to be fixed?

The unit is made by Whirlpool.
I cannot find a wiring diagram for it.
Can you see if the elements are getting hot?
They usually switch back and forth during preheat and bake cycles.
Since it is trying to run the elements I doubt it is the temperature sensor.
Unplug/remove power from the unit.
Pull it awat from the wall and remove the back panel and check that the wiring to the elements is OK.
If OK then odds are high that it is the control board/clock.
Unfortunately the part is obsolete.
There are companies out there that will fix boards just googe appliance timer repair
