Gas Oven burning too high!

Hi there,

My MIL is having an issue with her gas stove. The top burners are only firing at full power, and it's not possible to adjust the flow of gas. And this is the same for the oven too - when it's on, it's on!

It's connected up to an LPG tank, not mains. The oven says on the back it is set up for an LPG system, and the regulator on the LPG bottle is a 29mbar one. Does this sound about right?

I'm not sure if I should be looking for issues with the oven, or the gas bottle regulator. It seems strange that it's both the burners and oven temp that are affected.

Help!

Welcome to the forums.

I'm not an authority on LP distribution but as far as I know..... a 29mbar regulator is not for LP gas.
Many times two regulators are required in a large propane storage tank system.

Have you ever run a stove on this setup before ?

What is the make and model number of the stove?

Is this stove new to her?
If yes is it new from factory or was it bought second hand.
