Brinkmann BBQ Performance Question

Hi,

I have an older Brinkmann 860-2600 BBQ and the gas isn't coming out of the burners very strong and the grill doesn't get as hot as it used to. The burners, while flaking apart and generally looking rusty, seem to be clear when it comes to the vent on the end and the holes down the sides.

Could it be there is another issue preventing the gas from coming out faster or is there something internally in the burner that i just can't see that is the issue? it's been a problem for two tanks of gas now.

Thanks,

Steve

Check the gas jet orifice, air shutter area and tubing leading to the burners. Spiders love to build nests inside which block the flow of gas. Here is a whole page on how to clean the average grill.
