Board Computer Flops Again!

Once again this board flopped and failed, causing a detailed reply to be lost!

There seems to be a limitless variety of ways this board fails, too.

I'll say it again. Maybe it's you or the way the library computers you use are set up. Don't you own your own PC that you can ensure is set up correctly? I have never had the board "flop" (whatever that means) and cause me to lose a reply. Power outage when I had no UPS or just fat fingering a key, yes, but that's on my end. Why not write long replies using a plain text program, then copy and paste?

If it bothers you that much, maybe you should see if it happens anywhere else. I know plenty of people have had issues with phones and tablets trying to use DIY, but again, that's on their end.

This board has auto save. Every 15 seconds the board saves your reply. If you watch you'll see a yellow "autosave" popup. It doesn't matter what happens. Your reply is saved. Even if you get disconnected.

Come back to the same thread and go to the bottom..... you'll see "Restore auto-saved content". Click on it which will repost your reply..... possibly minus a few seconds of text.

I've used this feature days after I forgot to enter (save) a post to a thread.
Actually.... based on the traffic.... this board performs pretty well.

I forgot about it myself. I normally finish the reply but not always.
