Lennox furnace - Watchguard troubleshooting

I'm in a rental with a Lennox gas furnace. It's been running normally for a month or more now. Tonight, we noticed our apartment was feeling cold and sure enough, our thermostat says "heating" but the furnace is not running. The LED code reads Watchguard (alternating slow flash). I cleaned the flame sensor with no change. When I turn the power back on to the unit, it cycles on and off multiple times before giving the LED error code again. What can I try? I'm VERY limited in my knowledge of furnaces, but I can follow directions well as long as it's safe.

I should also add that we switched our thermostat to a nest about 2 weeks ago, and it has been fine, but I don't know if that could have anything to do with it.

If you are in a rental.... you should not be working on the furnace.
That should be the landlords responsibility due to liability issues.
