American Standard Furnace 6 red flashes Code

I burnt out the ignitor and just replaced it. After turning the furnace on, the inducer motor kicked in but then shut off and the vent motor kicked in blowing cold air only. The ignitor won't glow. The furnace indicator LED shows 6 flashes.

Any help on troubleshooting this issue is much appreciated. Thanks.

Look for the codes on the inside of the door on the blower section. Lets us know what code 6 is.

It says 6-Flashes-115 VAC Reversed Polarity or Bad Grounding. Thanks.

Most likely a bad control board. What's the model number of the furnace?

I believe CNT05165 is the control board number. A little more detail, so I was cleaning the flame rod and readjusting the ignitor. I put the ignitor back on but did not line it up correctly so heat was produced and the ignitor shattered. It's now replaced, but now I have this 6 red flashes code. I wonder if the blown out ignitor did some electrical damage to the system or board.

so heat was produced and the ignitor shattered.
Is that because the igniter touched ground ?
If yes..... more than likely the control board is damaged.
You could look at the back of it and probably see a burned spot.

So i replaced the circuit board and furnace is working. Lesson leant, make sure when you replace your ignitor do not let it contact anything otherwise it will burn your circuit board. Thanks for the help everyone.
