carrier inducer replacement trouble

Hello,

Model: 58mta060-f-12112
Inducer model - direct replacement recommended: 326058-755

Motor itself has same number on old one: HC27CB121

Problem 1:

When it appears to be in place - standoffs on screw holes, there's a gap between collector box groove and the back of the inducer, I can't push it in any more.

Is there something carrier isn't telling us about -> ie standoffs too long, housing design slightly changed.

Or am I just missing something and mis-aligning it?

Reviewing manual just now, it says "Install new inducer housing assembly to heat exchanger
cell panel by aligning guide pins in collector box."

No illustration of guide pins. Where are the guide pins?

It's very hard to align because the inducer doesn't fit in position without the exhaust pipe connected - the pipe can't be completely pushed out of cabinet, return drop is in the way.

Problem 2:

One standoff was lost while trying to remove and re-align. It's not anywhere to be seen, even checked collector box.

Is there a generic replacement for this?

This seems to be the part: https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDet...92-201/2356361

https://www.carrierenterprise.com/standoff-319892-201

If not, is it harmful to not use the standoff and just have the bolt? Last resort.
