G51MP-36C-090-1 Lennox Gas

sometimes the igniter will heat up but the burner will not ignite. Repair man says it's my control board that is bad.

you have to see if the gas valve is getting power after the igniter warmup period.

Welcome to the forums.

There is a 12 pin plug on that board. Those plugs/receptacles get corroded with age. Sometimes just unplugging it a few times is all that's needed. You could spray just the plug with a small bit of contact cleaner or WD40. Plug-unplug it a few times.

The same problem can also happen on the gas valve if it uses that similar white plug.
Same repair for that end.
