Question on mirror backing

I have noticed 3 small areas on the back of my mirror that do not have the blue backing. The front of the mirror is fine I don't see any issues, clean and reflective. What is the blue backing material and do I need to touch these areas in before the mirror is installed? or can they be touched up even?

Thanks pic attached.

I wouldn't worry about it. Probably just a manufacturing defect. as long as the front if fine, let it go.

I agree.

A mirror is a plain sheet of glass with a silver coating applied on the back.
Typically that silver coating gets a protective coating of paint for protection.

It's next to impossible to fix a scratch or nick in a mirror.
If those three locations are visible from the front.... use a new Sharpie marker to cover the glass.
Just a thin application should do it.
