Preventing shed door from opening all the way and banging the side?

I want to prevent my shed door from being swept away by the wind and slamming into the side of the shed.

Would one of these chains do the job?

It would, but those simply limit how far the door will open. If the wind whips it open it might eventually pull the screws out. If you could use small bolts (where it attaches to the door), and long screws to the jamb, that would help it last longer.

You could also look into gate springs, or even a gate latch.

Sure but it seems like overkill. I h ave a similar problem and just use a latch eye andhook to secure the door to the side.

Or maybe something similar to the way a weight is used to close a gate,

How big is the shed door?
Because it's not so much about limiting the range of motion, but preventing sudden motion-

I've seen a few good solutions for barn doors-

First is a chain-counterweight, a thin cable from the door goes to a pulley over a bucket full scrap sections of chain. The wider the door opens, the more links are lifted, the harder it is to open the door.

Second is four worn out automotice shock-absorbers bolted together nose-to-tail, basically a giant version of the screendoor cylinder.

Third and best was a machine shop, the owner maintained the miniature sit-on steam engines for a local amusement park- The roundhouse doors had pulleys welded on the top, which went through a series of pulleys connected to an old fashioned ball-governor connected to an old drum brake. So, when you open the door slowly, the speed governor spins around. The faster you try to open the door, the harder you have to push to overcome the resistance from the speed governor.
