Calculating solar system
Hi, does any one can calculate for me how much solar panels and battery needed for an off grid solar system . use for one chest freezer 115 v- 1.4 Amps and one refrigerator 115 V -135 watts.
Also which inverter to use.
Thanks a lot.

Gee, how much do the panels produce? What kind of sun % can you expect? You're leaving a lot of variables out of your question so I don't think you're going to get an answer.

Just visit any solar website. Most have calculators to help figure your needs. Everything depends on the components you choose so it's impossible for us to do the calculating for you. Thinks like panel size and your location will have a big affect. What's needed to keep a fridge powered in sunny Arizona is very different than what you'd need up north.

There are many variables you will often get different results. But what you get should put you in the right neighborhood.
One area I look at is how reliable you want the system to be. If it's no big deal if you come up short on power if you get many days of cloud cover then you can size to the smaller end. If you want more reliable power then tend toward the larger end.
