Trying to figure out what this is made of

I would like to make these clothes racks. They look like metal but not as heavy as iron or galavanized steel. Any idea as to what these are made of and where I can find the material. Thanks for any advise you can give.

The tubing itself is probably aluminum. You'd need to look for clothing rack supply companies.

This one might get you started... you tube/watch?v=3AgEZLcLI8U

I was thinking aluminum as well. Have you asked anyone associated with the place where you saw these?

I need to make a lot of this for a business I'm starting. The online clothing rack companies charge a lot for their racks and I was hoping to be able to put them together myself as long as I could find the parts. I'll be a competitor to the place I saw these, so they probably wouldn't tell me where they came from. Any suggestions as to where I can go to find tubing and connectors like this?

Maybe EMT would work. What you are seeing though is probably custom made tubing and fitting of a proprietary nature provide to spec by a manufacturer of tubing to the rack manufacturer.

Where I am there are sellers of used store furnishings. Buy what you need there and if it is a little shabby or doesn't match in finish find a small auto paint shop and work a deal to get them all painted.

Like Joe mentioned.....you need to look for used fixtures. The price of new will put you out of business.
