Attach home bar columns to ceiling

I am building a home L bar and attaching some columns to each end of the bar. The columns will be 4x4's and there will be two on each end (4 total). The bar wont rely on the columns for support, they will only be aesthetic. I am not sure how to attach the columns to the ceiling. The best method I could think of is to use L brackets and wall anchors. Does anyone have any better recommendations?

Glue and toggle anchor a square piece of 1x4 to the drywall. Install your post under that. Then trim the top of the post with a cove, bed moulding or crown moulding.
