Nails or screws for building a shed?
I'm building a 200 sq. ft. shed using standard dimensional lumber framing, nothing fancy.
Should I be using nails or screws for framing?
Is there even a correct answer? Or is it mostly preference?

If you are using a pneumatic nailer, I say nails. Screws, decking screws with Torx head, are probably a good choice, although quite a bit more expensive. They do allow for modification/correction as you go without tearing something apart with a crowbar. If you choose screws, don't use interior or sheetrock grade screws. Also with screws it is much easier to use an impact driver than a regular drill if you have one.

Go with nails. But nails don't grip like screws allowing the wood to move so make certain you use more than one nail at joints. Better still, consider something like Simpson Strong-ties (only a few) at critical joints. They're cheap and will make the job easier.
