What type of wrench do I need?

Hello. A maintenance man removed the circled nut with a large, crescent-style wrench. I'm talking about the nut, not the plug that's sticking out of the Y-strainer:

However, the wrench had a lever that locked the setting into place so that the wrench would not slip. He was cranking pretty hard.

I was thinking this might be what I need, though it seems a little small:

Tips? Thanks.

A GOOD crescent wrench would work. A better choice might be a 6 pointed socket in that size. The problem is there is very little meat to grab onto.

Can't tell from the pic - how big is the nut?

I think the line size is 1" so this is what's there...... Lead-Free-Brass-Wye-Strainer-Threaded
I'd guess the nut to be 3/4" to 1"

It could possibly a 3/4" line. That valve with the blue handle or the strainer may have the size on it.

The "nut" the OP referred to is the bleeder bolt.
