Removing Craftsman tool chest drawer

Red face Removing Craftsman tool chest drawer

Need to remove a drawer from a craftsman 5 drawer tool chest. Can't find old op manual. Tips? Links?

There are different types of latches so you need to look for yours. Pull the drawer all the way out and look at the slides. You might see a metal tab you need to push in or pull out slightly. If the latch doesn't release close the drawer slightly to release tension on the latch and try again.

I have two Craftsman five drawer boxes. They're different but the drawers come out the same way.
Push that metal clip in on both sides and drawer will slide out.
Much easier to do with an empty drawer.

Push that metal clip in on both sides
Drawer slide release:
Sometimes it is metal, sometimes it is plastic. Sometimes it pushes up, sometimes it pushes in.
