control standard doorbell wireless?

I know I can buy a wireless doorbell. but is it possible to control a standard doorbell chime with a wireless switch? In other words, can a wireless switch of some kind be used on the wires from the doorbell transformer?

It's possible but how would you contain the "wireless" part of the pushbutton ?

I haven't seen any wireless systems that allow you to control a wires doorbell.
They do make receiver modules that come with a pendant like you would use for a car. Then you'd need to come up with a way of mounting the pendant and keeping it water tight.

Perhaps there is a way to use a wireless doorbell pushbutton and innards to control some sort of switch/relay on the leads from the transformer?
