Sharp Notevision Projector

I'm trying to figure out how to connect my projector so that I can view cable TV on the big screen. Thanks

Looks like you're going to need to buy a Sharp AN-C3CP component connection cable.
This cable has an HD-15 mini D connector that plugs into the back of the projector and three RCA plugs (red-blue-green) that plug into the component output of your cable box. This will be a video only connection. Audio would require a second cable.

You can also use an S-video cable but not all cable boxes have that output jack. This would be a less costly option but not the best available video picture. This method is also "video only".

Ok I think I still have that cable. However, my cable box connections are already full. Is there such a thing as a rca splitter. Thanks

Most cable boxes offer several output connections. If you look on the back you should see three jacks... red, green, blue. Are they used too ?

You cannot split component video with generic Y cables or splitters.
There may be a powered component video splitter.... I'd have to check.

I have a VMS1100 multi DVR cable box. And there are only a few openings in the back for connection.

I connected the AN-C3CP to the cable. However, no picture came thru.

You need to go into the Sharp setup and select the component input.

Did you use the RGB component output lines on the box?

I connected the Sharp AN-C3CP component connection cable in the back of the projector. I had to also purchase a "3-rca rgb rg-59/u component video splitter". I did this because the red, green, blue outlet was already occupied.

I switch the projector to input 1, which is what the Sharp AN-C3CP component connection cable is connected to.

Thanks

Input 1 contains the RGB signal but may not be recognized automatically. You may have to go into input 1 settings and change from AUTO to RGB.

Also try the connection to the cable box without the adapter.
