FM transmitter question
Do ALL FM transmitters have to be unplugged (reset)after turning the vehicle off and then getting back in and turning the vehicle on again?
Mine does to connect the BT back. That's the only thing about it that I don't like about it.
So I just wondered before I started shopping for a new one if this is the case with all of them.
Thanks.

What transmitter are you currently using ?
Turning it off and back on reestablishes the non automatic BT connection

I only have experience with the 2 I've used. The Belkin in my car needs to be "rebooted" for it to find my phone if bluetooth isn't already on when I start the car. The iSimple I installed in my truck does not. It will pair with my phone in the middle of a trip so I was able to wire it in direct behind the dash. It's more work to install than a wireless "plug n play" adapter but I like that it has an antenna relay that cuts the line from the antenna when BT is active. I'm in a very strong and dense radio market (Detroit) and the relay means I don't ever have to hunt for a dead spot when a strong local signal tramples my weak (thanks a bunch FCC!) FM re-transmitter.
